Album release - Breakthrough

Updated: Aug 19, 2022

An instrumental album with meaning, feeling and energy that everyone can enjoy.

This album draws its musical inspiration from life lived on their Island home. Bermuda, a beautiful Island in the Atlantic ocean, is home to a diverse group of people. With a strong influence of Caribbean, US and European music, the album draws from that diversity, a mix and fusion of soca, latin, pop and old school Rhythm and blues.

It's fusion. So if you like Spanish guitar, you may like what we do with it; if you like soca, there is a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. Do you prefer old school like "Earth Wind and Fire" and the "Jackson 5"? If so, you will be taken back to a time when music was just fun. Ok to play out loud without offending the neighbors.

"Breakthough", is instrumental with meaning, feeling and energy that everyone can enjoy.

This album is a mixture of original songs and cover songs. Below we have described our originals so you can learn the story and inspiration behind them. Hope you enjoy!

#3 "Daydream"

Put this song on loop and you will be transported to beautiful blue waters lined with pink sand.Daydream is just that, imagine spending long hot days with friends swimming at the beach.Enjoying the sunset followed by a walk at night with friends on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. In the distance you hear music and people enjoying good times. Escape the chaos, DayDream with us to paradise.

#8 "I Cry"

I cry tears of struggles and tears of joy. This song takes the listener through the lows and highs of life's challenges. Whatever your goals, there is a preparation, a build up, a struggle, the climax, then the goal achieved, the tears of joy that follow, I cry. I cry is a song for everyone. Play this song, then think about some goal and or struggle for which you achieved your desired end and you will have found the soundtrack for that time in your life; and yes it's ok to cry.

#9 "Breakthrough"

From March to October it's tourist season, good weather, beach fun, live music, outdoor events and yes carnival spirit is in the air. Cup match, Bermuda's largest holiday event celebrated with a game of cricket enjoyed by all tuned in by radio throughout the island is blazed with some of the most popular soca, calypso, reggae, latin and pop music. The song "Breakthrough" is a collage of musical styles that takes, and or introduces the listener to the many flavors of music one can experience on the Island of Bermuda. Brought

together in a way that captures the energy and good times enjoyed by tourists and locals alike. "Breakthrough", a song celebrating the good times of life.

#10 "Skip"

The swing era was the period when big band swing music was the most popular music in the United States. Though this was its most popular period, the music had actually been around since the late 1920s and early 1930s, being played by black bands led by such artists as Duke Ellington, Jimmie Lunceford, Bennie Moten, Cab Calloway, Earl Hines, and Fletcher Henderson, and white bands from the 1920s led by the likes of Jean Goldkette, Russ Morgan and Isham Jones (Wikipedia). "Skip" is our version of a style of music long since

forgotten by older music lovers, and rarely encountered by young music lovers. So come with us, get your dancing shoes, grab a partner and "Skip" back to a time when working up a sweat on the dance floor means having a good time.
